Many businesses are running Microsoft systems which are reaching the end of their extended support date. January 14^th is the date on which extended support will end.

This means no more technical support or security patches from Microsoft, which will almost certainly increase risks around security and compliance.

Support ends for several popular Windows products on January 14^th most notably;

• Windows Server 2008 and 2008 R2

• Windows 7
